Questions and answers
Is the website check really free?
Yes. You get your score, the score for each area and the first three issues with their fixes without signing up. To see the details and fixes for the remaining issues, you enter your email address.
What does the website audit check?
Six things on your homepage: loading speed on a phone, how Google sees the page, whether it works on mobile, security (HTTPS), how easy it is to contact you, and broken links.
How long does it take?
Usually under a minute. You can watch each check finish as it runs.
How is the score calculated?
The score out of 100 combines five areas: speed counts for 30%, Google visibility 20%, contact and enquiries 20%, mobile and accessibility 15%, and security 15%.
Does it check my whole website?
At the moment it checks your homepage, which is the page most visitors and search engines see first.
Do I need to install anything or give access to my website?
No. The check only reads what your website already shows to every visitor.
Can I check a competitor's website?
Yes. You can check any public website, and each report has its own link you can share.
