Free SEO checker

Check whether Google can find your website and show it properly in search results. You get a list of what is missing and how to fix it.

Free. Usually takes under a minute.

What this test checks

Title and description

Whether your homepage has a title and description of the right length. These are the headline and text people see in Google results.

Can Google list you?

Whether a “noindex” setting is hiding your site from search engines by mistake, and whether you have a sitemap.

Headings and broken links

Whether the page has a clear main heading, and whether links on it lead to pages that no longer exist.

Preview when shared

Whether your link shows a picture when someone shares it on LinkedIn, WhatsApp or Facebook.

The same report also covers the rest of your homepage: speed, Google visibility, mobile experience, security and how easy it is to contact you, with a score out of 100.

Questions and answers

Does this SEO checker show my Google rankings?

No. It checks the technical basics that search engines need in order to read and list your site. It does not track keyword positions or traffic.

Will fixing these issues put my site on the first page of Google?

Nobody can promise that. These are the foundations: without them Google struggles to understand your site, and with them your content has a fair chance to rank.

Does it check every page of my website?

At the moment it checks your homepage, which is the page most visitors and search engines see first.

What is a meta description and do I need one?

It is a short summary of the page, around 150 characters, that Google often shows under your link in search results. Without one, Google picks text from the page itself, which is rarely the best pitch for a click.
